Who’s doing the work?
Pastor Prabhu and his wife, Leena, have taken on this responsibility. In 2018, through the Mission Team, Covenant Baptist Church established a church plant in Guntur, also named Covenant Baptist Church. We have been working with them and supporting their work since then.
What it does
“but Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.'”
Matthew 19:14

Through this effort, we can get these children off the streets and into a house where they can learn about Jesus and be fed meals from a table rather than a trash pile. We started with twenty-one boys. However, the Lord blessed us with the ability to add 2 other houses, totaling 3! So far we have 2 homes for boys and 1 for girls with another girls home coming soon!
Each and every home will have 21 boys or 21 girls in them.
The houses are rented for $170.00 per month.
What can you do?
Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.

First and foremost, please pray as we seek God’s will and His strength in this matter. Getting these children out of trash dumps, and into a home, a bed, and a church will come to only $41 per child per month. If you would like to participate financially, you can earmark checks or envelopes with ‘India Orphanage’ or you can give online here.
The $41.00 per child per month covers the following needs:

• The uniform for school
• A set of clothes for play and for church
• 3 meals a day
• School books
• a Bible
• Personal hygiene (toothbrush and paste, etc.)
• bed with mattress, sheet and pillow

Adopt a child for $41 a month. You will get updates on that child’s progress and have regular communication with that child. It may even be a tax deductible expense (seek advice from your tax professional)
